This site is dedicated to promote Latin Jazz and all the fine artists who have dedicated their lives to study and perform this music, that until recently, has not been referred to as a mainstream genre. Latin Jazz introduces you to fantastic musicians with rhythms that make you move your head and tap your feet, regardless of your dancing skills.
Alfred Alva - Is the creator of Webmenudo.com and has been in Web Design for Seven years. He was first introduced to web design after working as a System Administrator, for an internet based business in the S.F. Bay area in 1998.
In 2002, he started his business, Alvanet. He first designed a website for an old friend, Frank Fontaine an accomplished studio musician and arranger. Alfred's passion for web design grew, and with frustration on the lack of finding websites relating to Latin Jazz events in the L.A. area, he decided to create a website that promotes, encourages and keeps us informed on the latest venues in Salsa and Latin Jazz.
Today, with word of mouth and networking, he has established an impressive client base in the Salsa and Latin Jazz community. His selfless passion for Salsa and Latin Jazz and it's musicians have inspired this website.
Radio hosts like Jose
Rizo, Erik 'Chico' Manqueros, Hector Resendez among others have pounded
the "conga drum" for years to allow us to hear this great music.
With this website Alfred has also picked up a "conga drum"
to promote the music with his skills through search engine rankings, graphics
and web design.
